Wyclef
is a very inspirational artists who brings diversity to the table with this
music and song writing. Born in Haiti, Wyclef moved to
Brooklyn when he was very young. He used
to perform around the neighborhood which led to the creation of the group The Fugees. While Wyclef is a musician he is
also an advocate for Haiti and the health of the environment.
This accidental promotion was actually
just a stepping stone for Wyclef to run for president of Haiti in 2010. Most accidental project managers will decide
if they are right for the position. In
this case Wyclef was perfect for the position. Haiti is a very poor country so like many
project managers Wyclef had to use the resources available to him to
succeed. One thing Wyclef used was his
musical expertise to help lift spirits and raise money. One phenomenal characteristic that Wyclef has been able to take on is fundraising. The Hele Foundation he managed has raised more money than any other foundation to date. When the earthquake happened Wyclef went above and beyond to raise money for his country. This is the highlight of Wyclef's project management stint, he really stepped up to help his country in time of need.
Wyclef didn't just begin with the Haitian crisis he has been a supporter of politics going way back to Clinton where he helped with the campaign. He was also active in the Obama campaign as well. Wyclef is a leader and had to step up and be a project leader for his country but he was the perfect person for the position.
